Severe itching in dog or cat (especially tail and back)
Flea Control
Treating fleas at every life cycle stage (larvae, pupae, adults) inside the home and garden - to protect pets and family.
We treat fleas in all their stages (larvae, pupae, adults) by treating both home and garden, with guidance for pet treatment.
Why This Infestation Matters
Fleas are among the most disturbing parasites for families with cats or dogs in Cairo. A single flea lays 50 eggs daily, and each female lives 3 months - meaning one flea produces 4,500 fleas in her lifetime. The bigger problem is 95% of flea infestations in the home are invisible - larvae, eggs, and pupae are hidden in carpets and furniture, and the adults you see on your pet are only 5% of the problem.
In Cairo, the most common species: cat flea (Ctenocephalides felis) - shared between cats and dogs despite the name. And human flea (Pulex irritans) - less common but appearing in some old homes.
Fleas transmit serious diseases to humans: flea typhus, plague, tapeworms. And bites cause severe allergies in some people (Flea Allergy Dermatitis), especially children.
At Nile Germany we treat fleas with the globally certified Integrated Flea Management (IFM) system. The idea: killing adults isn't enough, we must break the entire life cycle. The flea life cycle has 4 stages: egg → larva → pupa → adult. Each stage needs different treatment.
Stage one: specialized indoor spray with German materials (مبيدات ألمانية متخصصة + مادة منظِّمة لتطور الحشرات). The مادة منظِّمة لتطور الحشرات prevents larvae from developing into adults, so even surviving larvae don't become new fleas.
Stage two: garden treatment. Fleas breed in dark moist places (under trees, behind walls, under outdoor furniture). We treat all these areas with garden-specific residual spray.
Stage three: coordinating animal treatment. Like ticks, animal treatment is at a vet with certified products (Frontline, Bravecto, Advantage). Without animal treatment, fleas return within a week.
Program results: 97% of adult fleas disappear within 48 hours. Hidden larvae and pupae die gradually over 3-4 weeks (some pupae may wait inside the home for months). Warranty is 6 months because the life cycle can continue 2-3 months even with treatment.
Critical advice: vacuum pet bedding daily for two weeks after treatment. Vibration triggers pupae to hatch early, then they die from residual pesticide. This step cuts treatment time in half.
How Do You Know You Have a Problem?
Watch for these signs and act fast before they spread
Small red bites in rows on human legs (below the knee)
Small black droppings in pet fur (like black dirt)
Tiny jumping fleas observed on pet bedding or carpet
Visible white eggs in sofa seams or old carpet
Important Scientific Facts
Facts about this pest that may surprise you
Eggs per day per flea
A female lays 50 eggs daily and 4,500 eggs in her lifetime (3 months).
Hidden in the home
Of the flea infestation, larvae, eggs, and pupae are hidden in the carpet. Adults on the pet are only 5%.
Pupae dormancy period
A pupa can remain dormant in the carpet up to 8 months waiting for foot vibration to hatch.
Body weight jumped
A flea jumps 200 times its body weight - equivalent to a human jumping over a 120-meter tower.
Our Specialized Treatment Protocol
Scientifically designed methodology for every step
Comprehensive Inspection & Infestation Mapping
The technician inspects pet bedding, carpets, sofas, garden, and identifies the most concentrated areas.
Specialized Indoor Spray (مبيدات ألمانية آمنة على الحيوانات الأليفة)
Spraying carpets, behind sofas, pet bedding, tile gaps. The growth regulator prevents larvae from developing into adults.
Garden Treatment
Residual spray on ground, grass, under trees, and in dark moist places. Kills outdoor fleas.
Animal Treatment Guidance
We recommend suitable products (Frontline, Bravecto) and coordinate with a vet for simultaneous treatment.
Post-Treatment Cleaning Program
Guidance for daily vacuuming for two weeks, washing bedding at 60°C, and follow-up periodic treatment.
Follow-up Visit After 21 Days
A second visit to confirm elimination of surviving pupae. Included in service price at no extra cost.
How To Prepare For The Technician's Visit
Simple instructions to streamline the work and ensure safety
- 1 Wash all pet bedding and blankets in water above 60°C before the visit
- 2 Vacuum carpets and furniture before the visit (vibration triggers pupae)
- 3 Keep pets out of the home for 4 hours after spraying
- 4 Take the pet to the vet the same day for simultaneous treatment (very important)
- 5 Don't bathe the pet 24 hours before veterinary treatment
- 6 Place clean clothes in sealed plastic bags away from the infested area
